Cookie policy
This policy explains what cookies are, which cookies and similar technologies this site uses, and how you can manage them.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files saved by your browser on your device when you visit a website. Other in-browser storage technologies, such as localStorage, serve a similar purpose.
2. What we use
This site stores small pieces of data in your browser, in two groups. The first is necessary for the site to work and does not need your consent. The second — analytics — runs only if you agree to it.
Necessary — no consent needed:
- localStorage, key
nb-consent— our own. Remembers your decision about analytics (accepted or declined) together with the date, so we do not ask you on every visit. We ask again after 12 months, or when our rules change.
Analytics — only with your consent:
- Cookie
_ga— set by Google Analytics (Google). Holds a random identifier that lets us tell returning visitors from new ones. Valid for 2 years by default (your browser may shorten this). - Cookie
_ga_B5W27ZTF94— set by Google Analytics (Google). Keeps the state of the current visit. Valid for 2 years by default (your browser may shorten this).
3. Google Analytics
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4, a Google service, to see which pages are visited, for how long and from which devices, and so to improve the site. We collect: the pages visited, the length of the visit, interactions with the page (for example scrolling, clicks on external links, starting to submit a form — without what you type), the type of device and browser, how you arrived, and your approximate location (country, region, city). We do not collect names, email addresses or form contents. According to Google, IP addresses are not logged or stored in Google Analytics 4. We keep event data for 2 months and data tied to the user identifier for 14 months (these are two separate settings in the Google Analytics panel); aggregated statistical reports that cannot identify you may be kept longer. We do not use this data for advertising or remarketing, we do not link Google Analytics to a Google Ads account and we do not turn on its advertising features.
The data is processed for us by Google Ireland Limited (Ireland). It may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA — under the European Commission’s adequacy decision (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework) or standard contractual clauses.
4. Google Search Console and Google Search
We use Google Search Console — a tool that shows us how this site appears in Google Search results (for example the search queries, the number of impressions and clicks, and indexing status). This is data from the search engine, not from your browser: Search Console needs no tracking script on this site and stores no cookies in your browser, so the consent described below does not apply to it.
If you arrive here from Google Search, the cookies on google.com are set by the search engine itself, under the rules in Google’s Privacy Policy — we have no influence over them.
5. Legal basis and consent
Under Art. 399(1) of the Polish Electronic Communications Law, storing information on your device or accessing it requires prior information about the purpose and your consent; the exception (Art. 399(3)) covers data necessary to provide a service you yourself requested. That is why analytics runs only with your consent (and under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You give consent actively, by clicking “Accept”; until then your browser does not connect to Google Analytics servers, and declining does not limit how the site works. The “nb-consent” entry is necessary to carry out your own choice (your cookie decision), so it does not require consent.
6. How to change or withdraw your consent
Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it: you can change your decision at any time by clicking “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing consent removes the Google Analytics cookies from this browser and stops measurement; it does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before. You can also delete or block cookies and site data in your browser settings (usually under “Privacy” or “Site data”). Blocking storage does not stop the site working, but it will then not remember your language or your decision.
7. What this site does not use
We do not use marketing or advertising cookies, remarketing, social media pixels, embedded videos or maps. Fonts and libraries are hosted on our own server, so merely loading the page does not send your IP address to third parties (apart from our hosting provider — see the Privacy Policy).
8. Contact forms
Submitting a form does not use cookies. After you click “Send”, the data goes to a Google tool (Apps Script and Google Sheets) — we describe this in the Privacy Policy.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy, for example when we add new tools — for a significant change we will ask for your consent again. Questions: webnet.pl@gmail.com.
